Choose

Opportunity presents itself and you stand before the closet of choice.
Fearsome and Boldness hang before you as garments to wrap around and wear this day.
Both are but choices made, constantly shaping your future.

The more you choose one over the other, the more it becomes a part of you as either an excuse to remain in a voluntary prison or a reason to push forward in this conquest we all call LIFE.

Today is the day to take that ragged torn and tattered familiar covering of Fearsome and burn it.!

Now reach into and take ahold of the remaining choice… Boldness,… trembling if you have to… but that is only a familiar habitual broken record that has been planted there by your enemy for the purpose of controlling you to work in her field of mental slavery.

The redemption papers have been signed long ago, and fear only has a grip on your life by the lingering feeling of shackles around your ankles. Those feelings are past lies created by your surroundings and those surroundings are nothing more than walls painted with the mindset of an impossible horizon.

Step with courage into your new LIFE of Boldness,… one step at a time until that becomes your Normal.

CHOOSE LIFE !!!

Deceptive Blessings

I hear in the prayers of individuals sometimes that they are thankful for the “abundance” that has been given to them in the form of materialistic gain such as houses, cars, good jobs, boats and so on, but what that does is, under the surface, insinuate that the poor folks or the ones that don’t have any of those objects, are un-blessed… or not as fortunate as you are, and in a way, you inadvertently imply that you are better because of your materialism.

A more level playing field for the thankfulness of abundance is the free stuff that comes from a grateful heart and mindset,… an achievable goal for the rich and poor alike.

If you have joy, peace, gratitude, love, grace, mercy, acceptance, forgiveness, etc. you have the ultimate recipe for true abundance, the stuff that can’t be taken from you or lost in a fire, flood, hurricane, tornado, earthquake or any other natural disaster.

So attaching yourself to and being thankful for the things that CAN be taken or lost, sets you up to be unthankful for your circumstances if or when they are no longer a part of your life. The more unexpected it is taken from you, the more upset or selfish you appear to react to those losses. Like complaining about your loss, or take on the victim mentality. The way you react to loss, shows, to what or where you place your loyalty, hope or trust.

Rather…

Focus and base your intentional stable existence more on the abundance of your internal, mental, possessions that can’t be taken or lost, and then the reactionary superficial existence will soon fade away, resulting in a more productive and happy all around life.

It often irritates me when the ones who are wealthy with material gain, say “God has really blessed us”, referring to multiple vehicles in the driveway, a big house, a separate vacation cabin out in the woods, boats, 4 wheelers, and all of the other play toys they use to selfishly lavish on themselves as a gauge for God’s blessings.
While on the other hand, some people that have lesser jobs who are struggling to make it from week to week, go to the same churches and gatherings as they do.

Even under your breath say, “well they have the same opportunities as I did to make something of themselves.

The ironic part is that they usually use the services of those same individuals as a means to spend their so-called “blessings” on, like waiters and waitresses and then, give them a skimpy tip if any at all. Then they go thru the Latte line multiple times a day spending $5 to $7 each on a designer coffee.

So before you give God thanks for your selfishness, because it was you that chose to spend your money on things that you can lose at any given moment and can really do without, make sure you are generous towards the less fortunate people you use for other services you take advantage of first,  before you claim God as a validation ticket for your selfishness.

If, The Realm of Hypothetical (Text)

Click Here to watch the video version

One tiny word, Two lonely letters that hold a powerful impact on the outcome of implications.

Existing inside of the realm of hypothetical, which unfortunately, some choose to spend most of there time.

Even well-meaning Christians are not exempt from this form of deception, for instance, when speaking to non-believers, they throw in that word “if”, usually followed by the popular cliché saying…

I would rather live as if God did exist than if He didn‘t, because “If” God doesn’t exist, then you can still live a happy, healthy life and not lose anything but “if” He does exist, then you are safe and benefit from that belief so you can go to heaven.

But… do you?

Let’s think about this for a minute…The word “if” itself implies that there is doubt, and a possibility that God does not exist, rendering faith, also, non-existent, in turn, making it impossible to please the God you are throwing into this hypothetical boxing ring.

Now I know the intentions of that saying is to get them to look at it as another means to ponder their eternal destination, but the intent, I believe, does more harm than good simply because you are chipping away at the very foundation of faith itself by giving them the illusion that they can hold onto an empty parachute, filled with the faithless belief in a hypothetical god.

Matthew 5:37 “Let your yes be yes and your no be no”.

In other words,

Live this life, knowing for a fact that there is a God and meditating on the benefits thereof,

And

contemplate the consequences of not believing that there is and the penalties thereof.

So do yourself and everyone else you try to influence a favor, Stay away from the word “if” when you try to convince someone that there is a God, because “if” implies doubt and doubt doesn’t make the cut on the team of faith, because…

Faith is the “Substance” of things hoped for and the “Evidence” of things unseen, and if you have substance and evidence there is no room for doubt. Rather switch to a firm stance of, There is a God!!! Period… No amount of disbelief will ever make substance/evidence disappear from existence.

To me, there is so much evidence all around us that I find it next to impossible NOT to believe in God.

Romans 1:20 backs me up on that one.

God, evil dictator or loving creator (text)

Click Here to watch the video version

Is God an evil dictator, bent on suffering and pain?
Or is He a loving, caring creator that wants the best for us all?

I get the whole, life, thing about experiencing circumstances and comparing the ones that you don’t prefer, to the ones that cause pain, death, suffering, to the ones that are, good, loving, full of peace, and what you like to experience, with always seeking after the “feel good” stuff.

However…

This is where the understanding gets difficult… or,… Easy… So easy, that its difficult & Sometimes hard to wrap your head around but if you grab ahold of this and hang on to it like a life raft in the middle of the ocean in a hurricane, things will start to make sense to you, & in turn your whole life will change for the better.

If your view of God is “evil dictator”, ask yourself this… What is a dictator?…

Absolute power by force, domineering, bossy, overbearing, tyrannical, repressive… are some of the words in the definition.

Now ask yourself what do the scriptures say that God is like?…

Loving, kind, generous, patient, peaceful,…   Wait a minute… Something isn’t right here… these are 2 opposing views that don’t line up.

The conclusion ends up being, either the Bible is wrong or you are wrong…

Nobody likes to be told their wrong, (Corrupt human nature) so we rely on our own experiences to tell us what we feel, and if those experiences don’t line up with the definition we were told about who God is, our conclusion from those external experiences, based on our feelings, we naturally end up deceiving ourselves into believing a self-defined conclusion that fits those feelings, totally disregarding possible facts simply because our limited human reasoning can’t make sense of it.

Let’s say we just got a new car, and the add said that it gets 60 mpg, heated seats for winter, best all-around smoothest suspension, all the bells and whistles for the most comfortable ride ever… So you buy into it and try it out. You excitedly jump in, fully expecting all the claims to come through for you as advertised… then you notice that it only gets 30 mpg, seats don’t work, the ride isn’t smooth at all and you have the most horrible experience ever with this vehicle…

You’re so disgusted with your “experience” that you start bashing the company and even trying to dissuade anybody from going through the same. You even venomously protest against anyone who tries to sell that car or say anything good about it.

Some try to talk to you about your experience but it was so real to you that you’re not having any part of it.

Until one day you end up in the back row of a convention that came to town promoting that very car. They went step by step going through the shipping process and how careful they were to protect the features by putting blocks on the suspension during shipping to keep it protected until it’s released to the owner, un-connecting the wiring harness in case of a surge in static electricity while charging the other systems, all the way down to a switch on the dash that you could have it in one position for optimum power, or another position for optimum fuel saving… on and on down the list of functions that make your experience the best it could possibly be.

Fuming mad, you make your way up to the lecturer after the convention and explain to him the experience you had with your car… Then he asks you one question…

Did you read the owners manual?

It has an after shipping list of things to do, like take the blocks out of the suspension, re-connect the wire harness,… in addition, a list of suggestions to do to have the best outcome possible, like the switches that suit the best driving conditions that change from time to time, the power or fuel efficiency switch… but in a rush to experience the promised performance you drove it off the lot without attending the proper maintenance class required before operating, skipping the introduction prior to ownership of this special one of a kind, once for all, vehicle.

So what was wrong?…

  1. Was it the definition and actual intention of the vehicle?
  2. or was it the perception by a gross misunderstanding on your part?

Even though the “bad” feelings and the “bad” experience lined up perfectly with your definition of “bad”, and even though it was a real experience to you, and that experience was a bad one that you fully felt yourself, it was ultimately in the false perception that caused that real experience with real feelings, and not in the actual originally intended pure truth of it all.

So before you believe an experience and refer back to your feelings to define your beliefs, consider this… If, in fact, there is a definition that has been presented to you and your bad experience tells you differently… before discrediting the definition by an experience make sure it’s not just a misconception generated by a feeling or even a bias, based off of false expectations, & make absolutely certain that you have followed that definition all the way to the absolute truth regardless of personal experiences.

Especially if there are conflicting views at play.

If the definition of something is “good” and there are millions of people that have experienced first hand that it actually IS “good”, chances are, that the definition is absolutely correct.

Because let’s face it, people don’t get deceived into believing the truth, that something good, is good…

But if the definition is Good and your experience is bad, wouldn’t it make more sense that the experience that is contrary to the actual definition, be more in line with deception than both experience and definition lining up perfectly?

Simple terms…  If Good = Good is Truth than Good = Bad is False.!

So instead of changing the truth of a definition to line up with your ever-changing feelings, research why the two don’t match and then erase the skepticism one piece at a time until everything makes sense, according to the definition.

The best way to do that is NOT going to someone that believes the same way as you do to reinforce your personal definition but to go to someone that is lined up with the truth of the definition and the life to prove it.

You still might be saying, ya but, the definition of dictator fits with the actions of what I read or what I believe God to be…

That may just well be, but what you’re doing is taking your perception or feelings and then finding the definition that best fits that perception, so you’re really working backward, for instance, dry ice “feels” hot to the touch but the actual feeling is cold. So in this example you would say and actually believe that the feeling is hot based off your perception, even though the absolute truth of it, is that its cold, but it’s so cold it generates a completely different understanding that you’re used to so you then attach it to something that you have experienced that fits as close to what you understand as being truth and stopping there rather than believe the truth of it, and adding to your understanding.

World View Deceptions

Pack this in the pipe of contemplation and puff until it sinks in!!!

Deception is designed to make you believe that you are not being deceived…
& if deceived you don’t know to seek otherwise, so you blindly walk the path of complacency, fully believing that the conveyor belt heading for destruction is the way to life.

Find the road less traveled.

Abandon the world system of selfishness…

  • “Grab all you can, because you only live once”
  • “Look out for #1”
  • “If it feels good, do it”

These attitudes are on the wide and paved road to ruin.

  • Evolution
  • Atheism
  • False prophets teaching false gods
  • Self-gods
  • Self-defining
  • Seeking out false religions that will tell you what you want to hear
  • Defining your own personal savior
  • Relying on your feelings to dictate your attitude or mood

This list can get pretty long…

There is a narrow road, & few find It that leads to life.
To find it you must give up what you believe to be “yourself”, to actually find your true self. Give up your understanding to gain true wisdom.
It’s a difficult concept to grasp but the most rewarding hidden path you will ever find.
It can’t be proven by intellectual reasoning or your senses of smell, touch, taste, sight & sound.
It goes much deeper & can only be proven by a faith that will dare to abandon those.

It is a supernatural conversion that can’t be explained & When you make that choice, the truth will be revealed, & from that point forward cannot be denied.

If you SEEK Him with your whole heart you WILL find Him.
The Way, the Truth and the Life. No need to look any further.

Live life to the fullest.

Self Love (Text)

Click Here to watch the video version

When I say “self-love” I’m not referring to selfish arrogant conceit

But more of the lack of insecurities, jealousies, to rid yourself of the damaging effects of self-hatred or not taking care of yourself by negative comforts such as junk food, smoking, drinking, drugs, cutting, tattoos,… in other words, not knowing your worth as you are,…

Everything you think you have to have to comfort your inner voices that tell you that you need just one more… “thing” whatever that is.

For instance… “I need a cigarette”, “I need a drink”, “I need another tattoo”, are all some sort of temporary mask to put on to calm something that is going on, on the inside.

Set off by a trigger to seek a comfort, something to generate a feeling that will just get you by until the next one. Whether its something you need every hour or every week or every year and so on, and the more you do it the more of a habit it becomes, and when it’s a habit, you now think that it’s a part of you. So

Anything that makes you feel, good about yourself, tough, better, bigger, or more confident, anything that generates a feeling to take you to a place that you have to keep doing or getting to maintain that feeling,… there is something going on, on the inside that is not quite complete in your life that keeps you going back to that,… comfort thing. Or habit.

Unfortunately, those who rely on those things won’t fully understand that until they get to a place of total contentment with themselves. So deceptively will continue to rely on those things without even realizing it.

As a matter of fact, if you’re watching this and getting upset while you are defending your “thing”, there is more than likely something deeper going on.

Going even deeper with insecurities, jealousies, and issues inside of yourself that usually and eventually will spill over into your relationships.

So the need to work on being content with yourself as to not be a hindrance in a relationship by constantly needing attention or reassurance from those insecurities or codependency is beneficial in a healthy relationship…

When it says to “Love your neighbor as yourself” first you have to love yourself so that you can be effective in loving someone else, you can’t take care of someone else if you don’t care for yourself because your interests are always focused on self and the dissatisfaction you have for yourself.

You are so worried about what you look like, or act like, is my hair in place, does my butt look fat, what are they going to think of me,… blah blah blah,… ya know what?

Nobody really cares! Not being rude but everybody has enough to think about, much less be concerned with everything you think is wrong with you.

So being filled with self-worry or self-concern that you don’t have any room for anything or anybody outside of your insecurities because basically, they take most of your time.

To be honest, are selfish, any negative self-awareness that you generate outward, towards anyone else is a display of selfishness.

When you are completely secure with yourself (healthy self-love) then you are free to just be yourself without the hindrances and are then able to give of yourself instead of demand from others to “make you happy” or reassure your insecurities.

The only way to fix that is to rely on the way God himself thinks of you and then believe it, don’t wait for the feelings to come before you start to believe it, because they won’t. & the only way you are going to find out what God thinks of you is to read the words directly by him, for you to take straight to the heart.

The word “Believe” in scripture is a verb, an action word, something to tangibly take ahold of and make it a part of your life as if it already exists.

A conviction based off of faith and not the way you feel at any given moment.

So when it says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE, when it says he loves you, BELIEVE THAT HE DOES, & belief is a conviction, not a feeling.

And when it says to believe, don’t hesitate, from that moment on, to start living it as fact and not something that will come to you eventually.

Yes it will “feel” awkward and not true, but ignore that like dropping objects while learning to juggle, just pick them back up and keep going until it becomes a part of your life. Until it becomes a good habit.

If you wait for the feelings you will never experience that freedom.
